In an effort to promote healthy eating and provide a brain power snack, Prep Maroon will have a ‘munch and crunch’ break at 9.40 am daily, commencing Monday in week 3.
I have decided that, rather than having a roster, children will bring their own 'munch and crunch' snack on a daily basis.
This will be a 5 minute break for students to have a small snack of fruit or vegetable sticks to keep the hunger pangs at bay until lunch time and keep their learning minds alert. As this is a very short break, could you please ensure that fruit and vegetables are cut up to assist your child to consume them within the allotted time.
Please note: only fresh fruit and vegetables will be permitted during the ‘munch and crunch’ – fruit straps and other processed products will NOT be permitted during this time as we are promoting FRESH IS BEST! Thank you for your assistance!
